Why We Started NoteSight

NoteSight was founded by Duane Gafoor, an entrepreneur and parent in Chicago with years of experience working with schools, academic advisors, and educators across three continents.

Frustrated by how difficult it was to find a tutor who truly matched his child’s learning style — and by the rising cost of traditional tutoring — Duane saw an opportunity to build something smarter.

He worked with more than 100 high school and university students, as well as academics, to understand their biggest learning challenges. Those conversations revealed three key insights:

Many students struggle because traditional teaching methods don’t align with how they actually learn.

Parents want confidence that their investment in education is truly making a difference in their child’s growth.

Most online tools, schools, and tutors aren’t preparing students with the skills needed to thrive in today’s AI-driven economy, where technology is transforming how businesses operate and hire.

From that insight, NoteSight was created — an AI-powered learning platform designed to personalize study, accelerate growth, and unlock every student’s full potential.

What We’ve Observed
